ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight. the SeaWolves look to avenge last night's rain-shortened game loss to the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) as the two clubs take the field in
doubleheader action at Metro Bank Park. Yesterday's loss was the second for Erie when dealing with a rain delay. Yesterday was also the second time this season where the SeaWolves were unable to play game two of a doubleheader because of rain...The 'Wolves will send righty Alfredo Figaro to the mound in game one. Figaro, who missed his last start due to lower back stiffness, has not pitched since April 23 against Harrisburg. It will be his fourth start of the season and second against the Senators. In his most recent start, Figaro went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits with a walk and a season-high eight strikeouts in picking up his second win of the season...Game two for the SeaWolves will be exclusively pitched by the bullpen. Lefty Ramon Garcia will get the start. It will be his eighth appearance of the season and his first as a starter. His last outing was against Bowie on April 29. In the game, Garcia went three innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and no walks...The Senators will send lefty Cory VanAllen to the mound in game one and righty Luis Atilano to the mound in game two. VanAllen makes his fifth start of the season and second against Erie. He took a loss to the 'Wolves on April 24 going 4.1 innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts. VanAllen has dropped his last two decisions. Atilano took a loss to the Howlers on April 25 going six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits with a walk and three strikeouts.
