Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Harrisburg Senators have announced that OF Michael Daniel and INF Michael Martinez have both been activated from the disabled list and Jemel Spearman and RHP Carlos Martinez have been placed on the disabled list.

Daniel injured his right hamstring going from first to third on a single by Ofilio Castro in the third inning on Sunday, May 24th at Bowie. He was batting .268 with 3 HR and 14 RBIs. Daniel was the only Senator player last year that was on the active roster all season long. Michael Martinez went on the disabled after falling on his right shoulder.

Spearman has strained his calf for a second time this season. This is the first time this season that Carlos Martinez has been placed on the disabled list. He's 3-1 with a 1.67 ERA in five starts with the Senators. We won his last outing, last night, against the B-Mets. He has thrown four consecutive quality starts.

With these moves, the Senators roster is at 24 active players plus five players on the disabled list.

Tickets can be purchased online at senatorsbaseball.com or by calling 231-4444. Tickets can also be purchased at the new Little Red Box Office built by Home IN Hand located across from the stables on the Walnut Street Bridge landing.
