KODAK, Tenn. - The Southern League has announced that Biscuits' first-baseman, Cameron Seitzer has been selected as the Southern League Player of the Week for June 23 - 28.

Seitzer, 24, hit .391 with four home runs, eight RBI and a .500 on-base percentage to lead the Biscuits this past week. The former-11th round pick out of Oklahoma caught fire in a series against the Huntsville Stars, highlighting his week with a two-home run game. Seitzer's multi-home run game is the first for the Biscuits since Kyeong Kang hit two round trippers last July.

Seitzer is in his second year with the Biscuits but only his third year of professional baseball. Last year, the first-baseman set Biscuits records for both games played (139) and walks (81).

Seitzer joins Dylan Floro as the only two players to win the weekly award this year for the Biscuits. Floro is a two-time Pitcher of the Week.

The Biscuits continue on their 10-game road trip tonight as they battle the Tennessee Smokies. Seitzer will bat fifth and play first base.

The Biscuits will be back at home on Friday for the Fourth of July Celebration. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 334-323-2255 or visiting biscuitsbaseball.com.
