Florence Y'alls News Release
FLORENCE, KY - It was another day of extra innings for the Florence Y'alls Monday evening as they win all three games in the series against Southern Illinois, beating the Miners 5-4.
In the bottom of the tenth, shortstop Luis Pintor stood at second base with first baseman Chad Sedio at bat. The line drive deep into right from Sedio allowed Pintor to find his way around third and come flying home with an eager Y'alls dugout rushing toward him.
In the five games the Y'alls have appeared in, Sedio has been at bat twice to bring in a run in the tenth inning.
Standout players today include Pintor, Sedio, and third baseman Trevor Craport. Pintor and Craport both showcased their snagging abilities while playing defense. Craport, the first Y'all to hit a home run during the regular season, launched his third home run of the campaign.
The Florence bullpen was key in Monday's game in which Evy Ruibal, Alex Wagner, and Johnathon Tripp did not give up a single run in five innings of relief. Starting pitcher Kevin Hahn lasted five innings and gave up four runs, all of which came in the fourth inning.
The Y'alls have a break on Tuesday but will be playing a doubleheader at home on Wednesday at 5:07 PM ET. Florence will take on the Washington WildThings, a team that has already lost a two-game series in Florence a week prior. Gates at Y'alls Ballpark open an hour before the game on Wednesday.
