Sebastián Driussi Named to MLS Team of the Week

Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC midfielder and Designated Player Sebastián Driussi was named to the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week for Week 16, after scoring his ninth goal of the season in Saturday night's 2-2 draw with FC Dallas.
Driussi has been named in the MLS Team of the Week a team-high six (6) times in 2022. He is eligible for selection to the 2022 MLS All-Star Game, for which fan voting is now open at www.MLSSoccer.com/vote.
In the 72nd minute, Driussi ran onto a ball from Moussa Djitté, then beat two defenders and the goalkeeper before finishing from a tight angle to set the stage for Austin FC's late equalizer. The goal was Driussi's ninth of the season, tied for the most in MLS.
Austin FC is unbeaten (7-3-0) in the last 10 matches in which Driussi has scored. The Club's goals-per-game average has nearly doubled since the Argentine made his debut in August 2021, rising from 0.81 to 1.55.
