
SeaWolves to face Philadelphia Phillies starter Randy Wolf

The Philadelphia Phillies announced today that left-handed starting pitcher Randy Wolf will continue his rehab from "Tommy John" surgery on Wednesday, June 21 against the Erie SeaWolves.
Wolf began his rehab with Class-A Clearwater where he was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA. He worked 5.2 innings allowing a run (unearned) off of six hits; he walked four and struck out four.
Wolf underwent "Tommy John" surgery on July 1, 2005.
Wolf was originally selected by the Phillies in the second round of the 1997 June Draft. He is 65-60 with a 4.14 ERA in 182 Major League games.
Wednesday's pitching match-up now features Wolf against right-hander Virgil Vasquez (3-6, 4.14 ERA).
It will be the fourth time this season the SeaWolves have played a game with a Major Leaguer on rehab. Dmitri Young played two games with the 'Wolves early in the season. The SeaWolves have faced Sean Casey on rehab from the Pirates with Altoona and Gabe Kapler on rehab from the Red Sox with Portland.
