Wolf to pitch for Reading Wednesday

Reading, PA -- Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Randy Wolf will pitch for Double-A Reading on Major League Rehab Assignment on Wednesday, June 21 when the R-Phils take on the Erie SeaWolves at 7:05 PM.

For Wolf, who had "Tommy John" surgery July 1 of last year, this will be his third rehab start. In two starts for Class-A Clearwater Wolf was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (5.2 IP, 6 H, R, 4 BB, 4 S0).

For his career, Wolf is 65-60 with a 4.14 ERA in 182 Major League games. He was a National League All-Star in 2003 when he won a career-high 16 games.

Wolf was 19-13 with a 3.64 ERA in 52 career Minor League games. In 1998, Wolf was 2-0 with an Eastern League leading 1.44 ERA (33 SO in 25 IP) in four starts for the R-Phils when he was promoted to AAA. Wednesday will be his third time in a Reading uniform on a rehab assignment (2001 & 2004).

Wolf was the Phillies second round draft pick in 1997 from Pepperdine University.
