ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

The SeaWolves begin a six-game road trip and a three-game series tonight at First Energy Stadium against the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies). Erie and Reading haven't met since early May (May 1-3). The teams split a doubleheader in the and Erie won the series finale on a comeback win after they were down by two runs heading into the bottom of the ninth...The 'Wolves salvaged the final game of the Akron series to pull back to within 4.5 games of the first place Aeros. With yesterday's win and an Altoona win over Bowie in 11 innings, the 'Wolves maintained a 3.5 game cushion over the third place Curve...The SeaWolves have won four-straight road games and after a rough start to their road portion of the schedule, the team is now just two games under .500 away from "The Uht..." The Phillies are coming off of a series split against the New Britain Rock Cats and they enter tonight's game with the second-best offense in the EL hitting .274 as a team. In the third game of the Reading-New Britain series, the R-Phils banged out 21 runs on 21 hits en route to a 21-4 win over the Rock Cats. The R-Phils are 6-4 in their last 10 games...RHP Matt Righter makes his third start of the season tonight against Reading. Righter has picked up a pair of no-decisions as a starter going four innings in each of his first two appearances in the starting role...RHP Chris Rojas gets the start for the R-Phils, his fifth start of the season. Rojas has dropped back-to-back games, one start and one relief appearance, both against Harrisburg.
