ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their third consecutive win as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, Erie's offense exploded for 16 runs in a 16-3 rout of the B-Mets. It was Erie's second-highest single game run total this season. The win put the SeaWolves at a season-high 13-games over .500...The SeaWolves have outscored opponents by 97 runs this season. In eight games this season, Erie has outscored Binghamton 55-30...With the win on Friday night, the Howlers remain 4.5 games behind first place Akron in the EL South. Erie is 1.5 games ahead of third place Reading and two games ahead of fourth place Bowie...The SeaWolves are the top home team in the Eastern League with a 36-16 record and .692 winning percentage at Jerry Uht Park. The 'Wolves have won 11 of their last 13 home games. A win in either of the final two games of the series will give the 'Wolves their fourth consecutive series win at home...Erie is 16-8 in 24 games against Northern Division opponents. The 'Wolves will play 41 games this season against the North...Brennan Boesch has hit safely in a season-high 12 straight games. During the streak, he is hitting .367 (18x49) with three home runs and 11 RBI...Righty Luis Marte takes the mound for the 'Wolves making his 17th start of the season and second against the B-Mets. Marte took a loss in his first start to Binghamton on July 4. He went 6.2 innings, allowing four runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

- Erie leads the season series over Binghamton 5-3. The SeaWolves and Mets meet 10 times in 2009. It is the most times Erie will face an opponent from the EL North.

- Alex Avila is second in the league throwing out potential base stealers at a clip of 45.1 percent.

- 30 of Andy Dirks 34 RBI have come with runners in scoring position.
