ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their fourth consecutive win as they look for a three-game series sweep against the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the ‘Wolves took an early lead but allowed the ‘Cats to take a lead in the sixth. Erie rallied to score three unanswered taking down New Britain 6-4. The win improved the SeaWolves to 8-0-1 in nine series against the EL North. The club's record is 19-8 against Northern Division opponents. Erie is in a stretch of 15 consecutive games against opponents from the North...Last night, the top three teams in the Southern Division were all victorious. Erie is eight games behind first place Akron and one game behind wild card leading Reading. The Howlers moved to 1.5 games ahead of fourth place Bowie which fell to New Hampshire...The ‘Wolves are the top home team in the Eastern League with a 40-18 record and a .689 winning percentage at "The Uht". The ‘Wolves are 15-4 at home since June 30...Erie's three-game winning streak is the longest current winning streak in the EL...Lefty Ramon Garcia takes the mound for the ‘Wolves making his second consecutive spot start. He took a no-decision in his last outing against Reading on July 31. In the game, Garcia allowed three runs on five hits in tossing a season-high 5.1 innings. Tonight is Garcia's sixth start. As a starter, he is 0-1 with a 4.35 ERA...Brennan Boesch is 6-for his last-20 at the plate with three home runs and four RBI...Erie has eight sweeps to their credit this season. The most recent sweep was a four-game sweep against Binghamton July 24-25...Erie starters have all picked up wins over the current three-game winning streak.
