Sea Dogs to Wear Pink Jersey's on Mother's Day

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will host Breast Cancer Awareness Day at the ballpark, presented by Generations, on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th . In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Day the Portland Sea Dogs will wear pink jersey's as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins) at 1:00 PM at Hadlock Field. The pink jersey's will be sold and auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Maine Cancer Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.

Most of the game worn pink jersey's will be available for sale between the third and sixth innings of Sunday's game. Jersey's will be sold on a first come, first serve basis for $80.00 at the Sea Dogs Information Desk in the concourse. These jersey's will be signed by the player and will come with a letter of authenticity.

Select pink jersey's will go up for auction on EBay starting at 12:00 noon on Monday, May 11th. Jersey's being sold on EBay include top prospects Lars Anderson and Junichi Tazawa along with two team autographed jersey's. The EBay auction for these jersey's will last seven days.

This marks the third season that the Sea Dogs have work pink on Mother's Day. Last year, the sale and auction of pink Sea Dogs jersey's raised more than $4,000.00 for the Maine Cancer Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
