NO FUN IN READING: Portland dropped their eighth straight game in Reading on Friday night, and continues their 3-game set with the Phillies tonight at First Energy Stadium...Reading owns the best record in the Eastern League at 14-7, and leads the Sea Dogs by 4.5 games for the top spot in the Eastern Division...Stephen Fife looks for his third win of the season, and his second against the Phillies...Fife worked five scoreless frames against the R-Phils on April 10 at Hadlock Field in a 2-0 Portland win.

ONLY TOOK TWO: Josh Zeid (1-1) hurled five hitless innings, and two relievers delivered four scoreless frames on 3 hits, leading the Phillies to a 2-0 victory last night...Reading scored in the first inning on Cody Overbeck's sacrifice-fly to left field...In the fifth inning, Tuffy Gosewisch blasted a solo-homer off losing pitcher Stolmy Pimentel (0-3)...Alex Hassan (double), Ryan Lavarnway and Jorge Padron (single) had the three hits for Portland, which was a season low.
