NY STATE OF MIND TRIP CONTINUES:The Portland Sea Dogs took 2 of 3 from the Binghamton Mets, and continue their 6-game roadtrip on Friday night against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland has dropped 7 of 11 to Trenton this season, including 3 of 4 in Trenton on April 16-19...The Sea Dogs have won 9 of their last 15 games and had their 5-game road-winning streak snapped yesterday...Portland needs to win this series to clinch a winning record for May.

DOUBLE DOWN: Aderlin Rodriguez delivered a two-run double in the sixth inning and the B-Mets had three pitchers combine on a 5-hit shutout, beating the 'Dogs 2-0 on Thursday morning...Luis Cessa (4-3) worked six scoreless on 3 hits and 5 strikeouts...Paul Sewald stranded two runners in the ninth inning to notch his 8th save of the season...Jantzen Witte went 2-for-4 with a double...Blake Tekotte finished 1-for-2, 2B and HBP...Justin Haley (1-6) suffered the loss, allowing just 2 runs on 9 hits over 5+ innings...Portland's bullpen of Robby Scott and Simon Mercedes combined for 3 scoreless and fanned 3.
