HOMESTAND FINALE ON SUNDAY: The Portland Sea Dogs conclude a six-game homestand on Sunday afternoon, taking on the Bowie Baysox (Orioles affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland is 2-3 on the homestand but take the series with a victory today...LHP Daniel McGrath makes the spot start for Portland, and LHP Alex Wells takes the mound for Bowie...Following today's game, the Sea Dogs start a nine-game road trip on Tuesday night in Altoona, PA.
BOWIE HOLDS ON FOR THE WIN: Bobby Dalbec and Brett Netzer each homered in Bowie's 6-5 win on Saturday night...The Baysox scored five runs with two outs in the third inning off losing pitcher Konner Wade (0-1)...Zac Louther (5-4) earned the win for the Baysox, working five innings on five runs (four earned) on four hits, five walks, and four strikeouts...Bowie's Mason McCoy delivered the game-winning RBI with a single in the third.
