Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles will honour members of the Sydney Kinsmen Hockey Hall of Fame prior to Saturday's game with the Moncton Wildcats.

Earlier that day, the late Screaming Eagles President Greg Lynch will be inducted in the Sydney Kinsmen Hockey Hall of Fame as a builder.

"Greg was such an important person to our organization and although he is no longer with us, his spirit still lives on with us and I think it's important we recognize that on Saturday night," Screaming Eagles President Paul MacDonald said.

Mr. Lynch, a successful Cape Breton business person, was instrumental in bringing Major Junior Hockey to Cape Breton from Granby, Quebec in the summer of 1997.

He served as a Board Member of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and was the team's President from 2001 until August 2004 when he passed away following a short battle with cancer.

"The Screaming Eagles also believe it's important to recognize the accomplishments and contributions the other members of the Sydney Kinsmen Hall of Fame have made to the game of hockey not only here in Cape Breton, but also at the national and international levels as well," MacDonald added.

The other members that include Dave Amadio, Paul `Jigger' Andrea, Paul Boutilier, Norm Ferguson, Danny Gallivan, John `Junior `Hanna, Fabian Joseph, Alf LeJeune, Keith Lelievre, Parker MacDonald, Al MacInnis, Al MacNeil, Mike McPhee, Kevin Morrison, Mickey Roach, Pat Shetler, Doug Sulliman and the 2003 World Junior Hockey Championships Committee will be re-inducted during a noon time luncheon on Saturday at Centre 200.

"We hope Cape Breton hockey fans will come out to the noon time ceremony and the game on Saturday night to honour the members of the Sydney Kinsmen Hockey Hall of Fame," MacDonald said.

The luncheon will be open to the public with tables of ten available from the Centre 200 box office for $100 or individual tickets available for $10 each.
