Scrappers falter in game one; game two rained out

The Scrappers and Ironbirds played the first inning and a half before rain showers halted the action. After a one hour and thirty-six minuet day we resumed action and the Scrappers would be the first team to score.

Scrapper catcher Robby Alcombrack had the first of his three base hits in the third driving in two and the Scrapper led 2-0 going to the top of the fourth. In the fourth the Ironbirds score two run when Jedidiah Stephen Tripled in a run and the second scored on a ground out.

In the top of the fifth the Ironbirds scored three runs on a bases loaded walk and a Scrapper throwing error. In the bottom of the fifth the Scrappers got one run closer on back to back doubled by Jeremie Tice and Robby Alcombrack.

The Scrappers were held off of the board in the sixth. Then in the seventh Brock Simpson led things off with a walk, Tice then flew out to deep right for the first out, Alcombrack went down swinging and then Ramon Hernandez lined out to shortstop to end the game. 5-3 Ironbirds.
