Vermont Lake Monsters News Release
Burlington, VT - The Vermont Lake Monsters are teaming up with C.U.F.F. Cancer to benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a camp for children with cancer, as members of the Lake Monsters team, front office and General Manager CJ Knudsen will have their heads shaved as a fundraiser stunt for C.U.F.F. Cancer on August 14th at historic Centennial Field.
The event will take place at 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 14th before the Lake Monsters game against the Aberdeen Ironbirds on Ben & Jerry's "Summer of Love" night at Centennial Field. This precedes an event Friday, August 15th on Church Street at 6:30 pm when law enforcement and community members shave their heads to benefit C.U.F.F. (Cop United For Fighting) Cancer .
Donations can be made at http://www.cuffcancer.org. C.U.F.F. Cancer, which is in its 11th year, raises money and awareness for kids with cancer so that they may attend one week at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. With Camp Ta-Kum-Ta losing its lease at Camp Holy Cross after this summer, it's more important than ever to raise money this year.
For more information, contact C.J. Knudsen (Vermont Lake Monsters) at 802-655-4200 or Lt. John Flannigan (Vermont State Police and C.U.F.F. Cancer) at 802-872-4045.
