Scorpions Offense Third in Golden Baseball League
Published on July 2, 2008 under Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Yuma Scorpions News Release
Even though the Yuma Scorpions have played more games than every other team in the Golden Baseball League, the Scorpions are a mere .003 percentage points behind the St. George Roadrunners for the best offense in the GBL.
The Scorpions are getting great productivity out of their entire lineup, 1-9. In recent weeks, AJ Valentine and Jose Rodriguez have really come alive with their bats.
AJ Valentine now leads the team with 8 homers, to Maikel Jova's 7. Jova continues to lead the Golden Baseball League in RBI's and hits.
The entire Scorpion team is hitting over .300, a good feat for any team to achieve.
The Scorpions pitching is also starting to come around, getting 5 straight strong showings out of their entire starting rotation. The Scorpions hope to see this trend continue as they push to win the division and clinch a playoff berth.
