Ottawa 67's News Release
OTTAWA --The Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) today announced recommendations for fans of the Ottawa 67's to get to and from TD Place this Sunday to attend the sold-out game against the Erie Otters.
Transit is the smart way to bypass traffic, as Winterlude activities are taking place in the vicinity of Lansdowne this weekend and the Queen Elizabeth Driveway will be closed to vehicular traffic, severely limiting access to on-site parking.
Additionally, advance parking passes for the underground lot have been completely sold so fans need to either park elsewhere or take transit. Fans that purchased parking in advance must enter Lansdowne from Bank Street where attendants will direct them to the underground garage.
OSEG has confirmed with Carleton University that 67's fans are welcome to park on campus at Carleton's regular Sunday rate of $3. To facilitate rapid transportation from Carleton to TD Place, OC Transpo will provided enhanced service on its No. 7 bus route to minimize wait times (Lots P5, P6, P7, P18 are all adjacent to the No. 7 route). A game ticket for Sunday's match gets the holder a free ride on the No. 7 and all OC Transpo routes, beginning three hours prior to the 3 p.m. opening face-off. Enhanced service will also be provided on the No. 1 route bus to Lansdowne from the Billings Bridge Transitway station.
After the game, fans can catch a bus on Bank Street and travel home for free by showing the driver their game ticket. Gate 2 at TD Place provides the most direct access to bus stops on Bank.
"We hope fans consider making a day of it and arriving early to skate, visit the Farmer's Market and enjoy lunch at one of the new restaurants at Lansdowne," said OSEG Sports President Jeff Hunt. "We've got a skate-check area in the arena and a full program of activities to compliment what promises to be a great game against the Otters."
Fans that missed the opportunity to purchase a ticket for Sunday are in luck. The 67's play Friday evening (January 30) at TD Place against the Sarnia Sting. Tickets and parking can be purchased in advance on the team website 17d26f9f8d&e8823a1e476) or by calling 613-232-6767.
