A classic rivalry match between the Oshawa Generals and the Peterborough Petes got off to a heated and intense start at tonight's game. From the first period to the last, intensity stayed strong and the Generals came out and the Petes took the win tonight 5-4 in overtime. It was certainly not for a lack of effort made by your Generals who worked into the last seconds of the game to try and pull out a win.

The first goal of the game was scored only 3:14 in as McCarron put the puck past Matthew Mancina on a pass from Lindberg and Pedersen. Shortly after the first goal, Hunter Smith and Cameron Lizotte decided to spice things up and dropped the gloves at 3:25 and Smith fed Lizotte several punches. Following the fight, both players were given five minutes each for fighting.
