MONTGOMERY -- The Biscuits announced today that infielder Mark Schleicher has been assigned to Hudson Valley (Short-A - New York-Penn League).
The move coincides with the Southern League's roster limit deadline, which requires that all of its clubs pare their rosters to 23 active players by today.
The Matthews, NC resident was 0-for-20 this season with 14 strikeouts. He will continue to travel with the team but is not on the active roster.
