Santa Claus comes to the Ice Box, Booster Club Christmas ornament silent auction

LINCOLN, Neb. - Santa Claus is coming to the Ice Box this weekend when the Lincoln Stars host the Sioux Falls Stampede and Des Moines Buccaneers.

On Saturday night, the Stars welcome Santa Claus into the arena to kick-off the holidays at the Ice Box. Children will be able to meet Santa, take photos and ask for any last Christmas gifts in the North Concessions behind The RAC. Also, the Stars Booster Club will hold a silent auction of Christmas ornaments made by the Stars players during Saturday's game on the main concourse.

The Stars begin the home set on Friday against the Sioux Falls Stampede after winning in overtime during their first meeting on November 11 at home. This will be the second and final home game against the Stampede this season, improving their record to 4-0-1-0 in their last five meetings. The Stars will also meet the Des Moines Buccaneers on Saturday after picking up a road win against the Buccaneers last weekend. The Stars have won all three games against Des Moines this season, including a 4-2 win at home on October 13.

Puck drops against the Stampede on Friday at 7:35 p.m. and Saturday against the Buccaneers at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 402-474-7827, going online to LincolnStars.com, or stopping by the box office.
