
Sandro Fabian Grand Slam Powers Round Rock Past Albuquerque

ROUND ROCK, Texas. - The Round Rock Express (18-17 | 62-47) hit double digits on the scoreboard for the second straight night in game two's 10-6 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes (19-16 | 46-64) at Dell Diamond on Wednesday.
Round Rock reliever RHP Yerry Rodriguez (2-0, 4.19) earned the blown-save win after allowing one run on one hit in 2.0 innings. The righty walked and struck out a pair. Albuquerque reliever LHP Eli Lingos (3-2, 5.88) was handed the loss after giving up five runs, three of which were earned, on four hits and one walk in his 1.0 inning of work.
Along the Train Tracks:
After three walks loaded the bases for Albuquerque in the third inning, a two-RBI single from SS Coco Montes had the visitors on the board and ahead 2-0.
In the fourth inning, two walks and an error loaded the bases again for the Isotopes and another two-RBI single, this time from DH Sean Bouchard, extended the visitors lead to four.
Round Rock was on the board in the fourth after recording five runs behind two walks and three hits. 1B Dustin Harris knocked in bases-loaded single and LF Sandro Fabian mashed a go-ahead grand slam to put the home team in front 5-4.
The lead did not last long as the Isotopes tied the game at five apiece in the fifth after 3B Aaron Schunk walked and scored on a double from 1B Hunter Goodman.
In the home half, Round Rock answered back and then some after another five-run inning that saw two doubles, two singles, one walk and one error had the E-Train back in front 10-5.
Albuquerque went 3.2 scoreless innings before getting down to their final out. Montes launched a solo home run to pull within 10-6 but the score stood final after a strikeout ended the inning.
E-Train Excerpts:
Round Rock LF Sandro Fabian launched a go-ahead grand slam in the fourth inning, which marked his second career grand slam and his second in the last four games. The E-Train have tallied eight grand slams this season, which leads the Pacific Coast League.
After recording 10 runs on Tuesday, Wednesday's 10 runs marks the first time since July 2-3 at Las Vegas that the team has recorded double-digit runs in back-to-back games, and just the fifth time this season overall.
Three E-Train batters recorded multi-hit games as DH Blaine Crim, 1B Dustin Harris and LF Sandro Fabian all tallied two or more. Crim and Fabian led the team with three hits apiece and each tallied two runs scored while Fabian also tacked on four RBI.
Next up: Round Rock and Albuquerque will play in game three of the series at Dell Diamond on Thursday, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. Express RHP Robert Dugger (5-8, 4.68) will face Isotopes LHP Ben Braymer (1-4, 8.19).
