OTTAWA - IF Danny Sandoval has cleared waivers and was added to the Lynx roster before tonight's game against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Sandoval, 28, was designated for assignment by the Phillies July 27th to make room on the Phillies' 40-man roster for Joe Thurston. He cleared waivers today and accepted his assignment to Triple-A Ottawa this afternoon. Sandoval has a .251 average with 2 HR and 17 RBI in 89 games with the Lynx this season.
This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx Box Office is Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Ticket information can be found at www.ottawalynx.com or by calling 613 747-LYNX (5969).
