Sanchez Homers Twice in Sens 7-3 Win

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Senators (37-22) rallied behind two home runs from Adrian Sanchez to beat Binghamton (31-22) 7-3 Thursday night at FNB Field in front of 4,269. Binghamton hit back-to-back home runs in the first, but the Sens came right back with back-to-back home runs of their own in the first to tie the game. The Senators tallied three in the third and single runs in the fourth and fifth to take control of the game. The bullpen tossed 4.2 scoreless innings allowing two hits and striking out six.
Turning Point
With the Senators leading 6-2 in the top of the fifth, Reading loaded the bases with one out and scored a run to make the score 6-3. With the bases loaded, Ben Braymer was removed for Bryan Bonnell came in and retired both batters he faced, stranding all three runners. The Senators bullpen took control from there and cruised to the win.
On Capitol Hill
Ben Braymer started and allowed back-to-back home runs in the first. From there he allowed two hits in the second but stranded the runners. He went one-two-three in the third and faced just four batters in the fourth. In the fifth he lost control and walked three straight batters with one out after allowing a single.
Bryan Bonnell came into a bases loaded situation for the second straight game and retired both batters, stranding the bases loaded. He pitched a scoreless sixth. Bonnell earned the win, his first as a Senator.
Jordan Mills retired all six batters he faced including five straight strikeouts.
Taylor Guilbeau pitched the ninth, allowing a leadoff single, but retiring the final three batters.
With the Gavel
Adrian Sanchez had two home runs, drove in two and scored three. He's the fourth Senator this year to have a multi-homer game.
Spencer Kieboom had three hits and also drove in a run.
Austin Davidson homered in the first, the back end of a back-to-back with Adrian Sanchez.
Chuck Taylor had two hits and scored a run.
Filibusters
Coupled with Akron's loss, the Senators lead Akron by 6.5 games with 11 to play. The Senators magic number is 5.
The two home runs by Adrian Sanchez are the fourth time this season a Senator player has hit two home runs in a game.
Harrisburg is now 12-5-1 in series played this season.
On Deck
The Senators begin a six-game road trip with the first of three in Reading Friday night at 7:10 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 7:00 p.m.
