San Jose Giants Announce 2013 Schedule

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants unveiled their 2013 schedule today. The 26th season of the San Jose Giants affiliation with the San Francisco Giants will begin on Thursday, April 4 at Modesto with the home opener set for Thursday, April 11 against the Visalia Rawhide. The Opening Night Extravaganza will include a postgame fireworks show, 2013 magnet schedule giveaway and much, much more.
The San Jose Giants 70 home game schedule is anticipated to include the return of fan favorite theme nights such as Homecoming Night, A Giant Luau and Italian Night, while other new events are also expected. The Giants will host games at Municipal Stadium on Mother's Day (May 12), Memorial Day (May 27), Independence Day (July 4) and Labor Day (September 2).
In addition to the regular season schedule, the San Jose Giants will host the 2013 California-Carolina League All-Star Game at Municipal Stadium on June 18. Some of baseball's top prospects, representing 18 Major League teams and 18 Minor League affiliates, will descend upon Municipal Stadium as two of the nation's elite Class-A Advanced leagues matchup in the 17th California-Carolina League All-Star Game.

Season ticket packages for the 2013 San Jose Giants baseball season are on sale now. Tickets are available for purchase online at sjgiants.com, over the phone at (408) 297-1435 and in person at the Municipal Stadium Box Office Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The San Jose Giants begin a seven game road trip at Rancho Cucamonga tonight at 7:05 PM and fans can listen online at sjgiants.com or via the San Jose Giants Mobile App. The Giants 2012 regular season wraps up Labor Day weekend with a four-game series versus the Modesto Nuts. The homestand will feature A Giant Luau Hana Hou on Friday, August 31 and a 25th Anniversary Silver Jersey Auction that begins on Saturday, September 1 and ends on Sunday, September 2.
