SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls look to extend their season-high home winning streak to six when they take on their Northern Conference rival Idaho Steelheads tonight at the ipayOne Center.

SERIES HISTORY:
The Gulls and Steelheads have met four times so far this season with San Diego holding a 3-1-0 series edge. The teams square off two more times during the regular season, both in San Diego.

San Diego owns the all-time series match-up, posting a 44-26-7 record against its Northern Conference rival. The Gulls are 28-8-3 all-time against the Steelheads at the ipayOne Center.

VS. WEST DIVISION:
The Gulls are 16-18-1 this season against the West Division and 8-7-0 at home.

LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING (JAN. 6 VS. IDAHO):
Pierre-Luc Sleigher's beautiful tic-tac-toe goal with 4:01 remaining in the third period capped a dramatic Gulls comeback, 2-1 over the visiting Steelheads on Jan. 6. Idaho took an early lead just 3:37 into the match when forward Garett Bembridge tallied his 26th goal. The Steelheads entered the contest with the third-best offense in the league but goalie Tyler Weiman kept it close by stopping 31 shots. Nikita Korovkin finally put the Gulls on the board 13:28 into the third period with a slap shot from the slot and about two and a half minutes later, Sleigher capped the comeback.

GULLS UPDATE:
San Diego (33-28-6) enters the day with 72 points, six behind the third-place Bakersfield Condors and seven back of the second-place Long Beach Ice Dogs... The Gulls have already clinched a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, marking the 10th time in 11 years that they have qualified for postseason play... San Diego is unbeaten in 14 of its last 19 games (13-5-1) and has won a season-high five straight games at home... Out of its last 29 games, 18 have been decided by one goal... The Gulls are 6-for-25 on the power play in the last three games (24 percent)... They have allowed six power-play goals in 31 chances in the last three games (80.6 percent)... San Diego is 19-9-4 at home this season...

PLAYER NOTES:
Steve Hildenbrand has a five-game point streak, netting eight during that span (4g, 4a)... Alex Kim, who was loaned to the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates on Thursday, left the Gulls with a career-high 16-game point streak and six-game assist streak. In four games since being activated from the injured list, Kim notched 11 points (4g, 7a). He is the reigning ECHL Player of the Week... Grady Moore has assists in three of the last four games...

IDAHO UPDATE:
Idaho (41-21-7) starts the day 89 points, clinching third place in the West Division... The Steelheads will either play the Las Vegas Wranglers or Alaska Aces in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs... They also own the seventh most points in the ECHL... Idaho is tied with the third-most road wins in the ECHL (21)... David Bararuk has an eight-game assist streak... D'Arcy McConvey has 21 points in the last nine games (12g, 9a)... Idaho has the second-best power play in the ECHL (22.1 percent), but is 1-for-30 in four games against the Gulls this season...

TRANSACTIONS:
Kelly Askew was activated from the seven-day injured list today, while Erik Johnson was activated yesterday... Rookies Jeff Winchester and Conrad Martin signed today... Dennis Shiryaev was placed on the seven-day injured list today, while Bobby Cunningham was placed on the seven-day injured list yesterday... R.J. Enga re-signed yesterday... Kim was loaned to Portland Thursday... Guillaume Fournier was released Thursday... Richard Keyes, Darren Clark, Aaron McKenzie and Alex Rogosheske remain on IR... Tyler Weiman and David Svagrovsky remain with Lowell of the AHL...
