Saturday, November 2 vs Charlotte Checkers

AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.

The Rampage welcome the Charlotte Checkers to AT&T Center on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. for a MAGIC 105.3 $1 Hot Dog and $1 Pop- corn Night. The Checkers play two midweek games before making the trek to the Alamo City for Saturday's tilt. Charlotte has been strong on the road this season, winning four of their first five games away from Time Warner Cable Arena, including a 5-0 shutout at Chicago on Sun- day. Goaltender John Muse collected his second shutout this season in only his second start with the team and has stopped all 57 shots he's faced to lead the league in goals-against average and save percentage.

Charlotte's power play has been dominant on the road, clicking at an 8- for-27 (29.6%) clip, good for third in the league. The Checkers penalty kill has also been strong away from home, killing 20-of-22 (90.9%) pen- alties, which is fourth in the league. Charlotte forward Chris Terry and defenseman Mark Flood enter the week having recorded at least one point in all five road games this season. Terry leads the Checkers with eight points (five goals, three assists) in seven games.

TEAM UP CHALLENGE EVENT - Monday, Oct. 28 Rampage defenseman Zach Miskovic and Spurs center Tiago Splitter will join Team Up Challenge semifinalist groups Harris Middle School (NEISD) and Hartman Elementary School (JISD) to wok on the Spurs Community Garden at the San Antonio Food Bank on Monday from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. The Team Up Challenge groups will work alongside Miskovic and Splitter to learn the skills they need to maintain their own gardens.

WEEKEND RECAP: Despite a furious comeback effort, the Rampage were ultimately unable to erase a three-goal deficit and dropped a 5-4 decision to the Oklahoma City Bar- ons on Friday night at AT&T Center. San Antonio bounced back the following night, howev- er, claiming a 4-2 win over the Barons to secure the weekend split against their divisional foe. In the victory, rookie Vincent Trocheck tallied two goals and an assist and rookie goal- tender Michael Houser earned his second win in as many starts.

GOOD LINE: The newly formed line of Vincent Trocheck, Bobby Butler and Garrett Wilson combined for 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in the weekend set against the Barons.

Trocheck now leads the team with nine points (five goals, four assists) and Wilson paces the club with a plus-5 rating.

BUSY MONTH: The Rampage play a total of 13 games in the month of November, which ties March for the most games played in a single month this season.

SHOOT TO SCORE: San Antonio reached the 30-shot plateau in both games last week- end and is currently third in the league in shots on goal, averaging 34.63 shots per game.

ICE CHIPS: Vincent Trocheck - Center

Rookie Vincent Trocheck tallied the Rampage's first three-point game of the season on Saturday night with two goals and an assist in a 4-2 win over the Oklahoma City Barons. In two games last week, Trocheck tallied a combined five points (three goals, two assists) to take the team lead in goals (five) and points (eight). The third-round draft pick (64th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft is averaging more than a point-per game through the team's first eight games of the year. Trocheck won the Red Tilson Trophy for the MVP of the Ontario Hockey League last season after leading the league with 50 goals and 59 assists in 63 games.
