Coyotes Recall Szwarz from Portland

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Jordan Szwarz from the Portland Pirates, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 6-foot-0, 200-pound Szwarz has appeared in six games with the Pirates this season, recording 3-2-5 and four penalty minutes (PIM). The 22-year-old native of Burlington, Ont., registered 11-22-33 with a plus-seven rating in 60 games with Portland in 2012-13. He also tied for third in the AHL with three shorthanded goals.

Szwarz was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft.
