Rampage Update: The Rampage kept this week's play in Texas going 1-1-0-0 against interstate rival, Houston. Lee Goren netted his 20th goal of the season on the power-play 12:56 into the second to tie the score, 1-1. Goalie Travis Scott made 35 saves, including 14 in the third period, but suffered the 2-1 loss for the Rampage. In Saturday night's match-up at home, the Rampage broke even for the week with a 2-1 overtime win against the Aeros. Paul Healey tallied the game-winner 40 seconds into the overtime period to help San Antonio edge Houston. Gregory Campbell scored his 12th goal of the season 4:34 into the third to tie the game, 1-1. Scott stopped 29 shots, including 10 in overtime, to take the win for San Antonio. The Rampage will face Chicago and Milwaukee within the next week at home.

Florida Panthers Update: The Cats went 2-1-0-0 this week, claiming two overtime wins against the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers. After trading the Panthers' leading scorer, Valeri Bure, on Monday, Tuesday night's game against Toronto totaled a 5-0 loss against the Maple Leafs. Last Thursday, Olli Jokinen opened up scoring in the first period with his 20th goal of the season and scored another in overtime to take the win. Josh Olson made his NHL debut, taking advantage of a shot rebound by Donald Audette, and scoring his first NHL goal 1:40 into the third and becoming the seventh Panther to score in their first NHL game. Roberto Luongo stopped 32 shots in the 3-2 victory over Montreal. Jokinen salvaged a win again in the match-up against New York on Saturday night at home, lifting the Panthers to an overtime victory 2:54 into the extra session. Luongo stopped 27 shots to help the Cats pull the win, bringing Florida within seven points of the New York Islanders in the race for the Eastern Conference's eighth playoff spot. Lyle Odelein scored his first goal as a Panther and added an assist and rookie Nathan Horton also scored in the 3-2 overtime win.
