
Roadrunners Tied for Third in North Division

After earning five of a possible six points last week, the Toronto Roadrunners are in a tie for third place in the North division with Cleveland and Rochester at 71 points. Toronto plays three games this week, two against division opponents. The Roadrunners begin the week on the road as they face the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, March 17 (7:00 p.m.). Toronto then returns home to meet the Manitoba Moose on Thursday, March 18 (7:00 p.m.), before wrapping up the week on Sunday, March 18 when they host the Syracuse Crunch at 5:00 p.m.
Toronto earned a record of 2-0-0-1 last week, recording wins over St. John's (7-5, Friday, March 12) and Manitoba (3-0, Saturday, March 13), while losing to Milwaukee in overtime (4-3, Wednesday, March 10).
Wright on Five Game Point Streak
Roadrunners forward Jamie Wright is currently on a five game point streak. Wright has three goals and five assists during the streak, which includes three multipoint games. Wright recorded two points in each of the three games he played last week (5g-1a).
Toronto Strong on Home Ice
The Roadrunners have recorded at least one point in each of their last 12 home games, earning a record of 11-0-0-1. Toronto is 13-2-2-1 at home in 2004.
Roadrunners Continue to Score First
The Roadrunners scored first in all three games they played last week, extending their streak of opening the scoring to 12 straight games as well as 12 consecutive home games. Jamie Wright has opened the scoring a team high six times this season. Toronto has a record of 23-5-4-2 when scoring the first goal.
Moss Earns Second Shutout as a Roadrunner
Goaltender Tyler Moss earned his second shutout in his last four games on Saturday, March 13, when he stopped all 29 shots his former team, the Manitoba Moose, directed his way in a 3-0 victory. It was the fifth shutout of the season for Moss, who recorded three with the Moose, and the tenth of his American Hockey League career.
Bishai has four assists in last two games
Forward Mike Bishai, who has two assists in each of his last two games, helped set up the game winning goal in both of Toronto's back-to-back victories this past weekend. Bishai earned the lone assist on J.J. Hunter's game winning goal as the Roadrunners defeated the St. John's Maple Leafs 7-5 on Friday, March 12. The Edmonton, Alberta native also earned the only assist on Jamie Wright's first period winner as Toronto defeated the Manitoba Moose 3-0 on Saturday, March 13.
