SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC will host 2018-19 English Premier League side Cardiff City FC at Toyota Field on Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Facebook Live as SAFC takes on a European opponent for the first time.
SAFC heads into the match after earning a 3-0 win against Austin Bold FC in USL Championship play last Wednesday. The Alamo City club will host Cardiff in their third exhibition match in franchise history after previously recording one tie and one win against Liga MX club Santos Laguna in 2017 and 2018.
Cardiff City FC will begin its American preseason tour in the Alamo City, marking the first time a current or former Premier League team visits San Antonio. The Blue Birds were promoted to the EPL following their second-place finish in the EFL Championship during the 2017-18 season and scored 33 goals in the top flight during the 2018-19 campaign.
The match will feature $1 beer and sodas courtesy of Bud Light through the 65th minute of the match, after which the night will conclude with an 'Extra Time' postgame party following the final whistle, which will feature $1 drinks, live music, games and more.

All-time Series: The game marks the first matchup between SAFC and Cardiff City FC as well as the first time a current or former Premier League club plays in the Alamo City. SAFC previously recorded a draw and a win against Liga MX side Santos Laguna in their previous two international exhibition contests.
