
SAN ANTONIO COLLECTS 5-2 VICTORY OVER TEXAS

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Rampage (10-5-1-0) registered five goals in the final two periods to defeat the Texas Stars (8-8-0-1) 5-2 on Saturday at the AT&T Center. Forward Andrew Agozzino recorded one goal and two assists for his second three-point game of the season.
Max French opened the scoring for Texas 2:52 into the first frame when he connected on a pass from Samuel Laberge for his second of the season. Rampage goaltender Spencer Martin shut down Denis Gurianov's penalty shot at the 5:02 mark and the remainder of the period went scoreless as the Stars took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
The Silver and Black tied the game at one 92 seconds into the second stanza when A.J. Greer fired a shot from the left faceoff circle past Stars netminder Landon Bow. Alex Belzile gave the Rampage a one-goal advantage 6:31 into the period when he redirected a shot from Chris Butler into the back of the net. Tage Thompson recorded his fifth goal of the season at 15:57 when he hit a floating puck out of the air, extending the Rampage lead to 3-1.
The Stars cut the lead to one 5:26 into the final frame when Jason Dickinson snuck a shot past Martin. San Antonio regained its two-goal advantage when Thompson made a pass from behind the Stars net to an open Agozzino in the slot 11:17 into the frame. The Rampage registered their fifth goal of the evening after Rocco Grimaldi redirected a shot from David Warsofsky to secure a 5-2 victory for the Silver and Black.
