COYOTES ASSIGN MERMIS TO TUCSON

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Dakota Mermis to the Tucson Roadrunners, the club's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

The 23-year-old Mermis has registered 1-2-3 with six penalty minutes (PIM) in seven games with Tucson this season. The 5-foot-11, 187-pound native of Alton, Illinois has recorded 6-22-28 and 139 PIM in 137 career AHL games with Tucson and Springfield.

Mermis has played in seven games with the Coyotes this season.
