Salmon Kings Trade D-Man To The Desert

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the organization has traded defenseman Bryan Nathe (NAY-thee) to the Phoenix Roadrunners for future considerations.

The Elk River, MN native played in 15 games for the Salmon Kings this season collecting one assist and four minutes in penalties.

Nathe was acquired in a trade with the Johnstown Chiefs on October 29th. He played in one game for Johnstown this season. Last year, he suited up for 54 games scoring two goals and adding 11 assists.

The 6-0, 190 pound Nathe has played four years in the ECHL. Previously, the 24-year-old played in the WHL and the NCAA.

The Salmon Kings face off against the Phoenix Roadrunners tomorrow and Friday night in Arizona. The team returns to Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on December 19th to take on last year's playoff opponent the Alaska Aces. Call 220-7889 to get your tickets.
