
Augusta's Slattengren Named In Glas Co Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Aaron
Slattengren of the Augusta Lynx is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of
the Week for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
The Duluth, Minn. native had eight points (4g-4a) and a plus-minus rating
of +8 to help the Lynx go 3-0-0 and improve to 7-2-1 in their last 10
games.
The 25 year old had seven points (4g-3a) and was +8 in a 9-1 win at
Pensacola on Nov. 27, setting the Augusta record for points in a game and
tying the ECHL record for plus-minus rating in a game. The seven points are
the most scored in the ECHL since Nov. 1, 2001 when J.F. Houle of New
Orleans had seven points (2g-5a) against Pensacola.
The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Slattengren, who had an assist in a 2-1 win at
Columbia on Dec. 1, leads the ECHL with 15 goals and is tied for sixth with
24 points.
Slattengren had 44 points (21g-23a) and 22 penalty minutes in 56 regular
season games and four penalty minutes in two Kelly Cup playoff games for
the Lynx as a rookie in 2006-07 while also playing one game for Phoenix.
He began his professional career in 2005-06, after completing his career
at Colorado College, and had two penalty minutes in one regular season game
and seven penalty minutes in four Kelly Cup Playoffs games for Idaho while
also playing in the American Hockey League where he had three assists and
four penalty minutes in five games for Portland and appeared in one game
for Iowa.
Slattengren played four seasons at Colorado College and had 88 points
(43g-45a) and 186 penalty minutes in 144 games from 2002-06.

Slattengren, a case of pucks will be donated to an Augusta area youth
hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for
the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In
Glas Co has donated more than 18,000 pucks to youth hockey
organizations in ECHL cities.
