
Cyclones' Desharnais Named PaySourceUSA ECHL Plus Performer Of The Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Cincinnati rookie center David
Desharnais is the PaySourceUSA ECHL Plus Performer of the Month
for November after finishing with a plus-minus rating of +15 in 14 games.
In his first full professional season the 5-foot-6 and 177-pound
Desharnais was even or better in 13 of his 14 games, including back-to-back
games on Nov. 14 and Nov. 18 when he was a season-high +3.
The Quebec City native led the Cyclones with 16 assists and ranked second
on the team in points (20) in November.
The 21 year old leads ECHL rookies with 17 assists while his 24 points tie
him for second among first-year players and rank eighth overall. Desharnais
had a career-high seven-game point streak from Nov. 13-28 in which he
tallied 15 points (4g-11a) to help the Cyclones reach the top of the North
Division.
Desharnais made his professional debut in the American Hockey League last
season, signing with Bridgeport after completing his career in the Quebec
Major Junior Hockey League and finishing with two points (1g-1a) and four
penalty minutes in seven games for the Sound Tigers.
He played four seasons in the QMJHL and had 374 points (126g-248a) and 127
penalty minutes in 262 games for Chicoutimi.
