Saints Shut out Indians, 8-0

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians were held to two hits as they lost their third game of the series vs. the St. Paul Saints on Thursday night, 8-0.

With a 4-0 lead after a two-run fifth inning, the Saints (61-56) broke the game open with four runs in the sixth inning. Jose Miranda highlighted the frame with a two-run home run down the left-field line to cap the frame.

Keury Mella, Matt Eckelman and Hunter Stratton combined for three scoreless innings for the Indians (54-62) after James Marvel (L, 5-7) was charged with eight runs (five earned) in six innings. Chandler Shepherd (W, 7-6) earned the win as the second pitcher in a bullpen game for the Saints.

The Indians will look for their first win of the series over St. Paul on Friday night at 7:05 PM ET. RHP Miguel Yajure (1-3, 3.58) will take the mound against RHP Jason Garcia (0-0, 14.40).
