Sadikov Joins Griffins

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday signed goaltender Ramis Sadikov to an amateur tryout. Additionally, the Griffins released goaltender John Murray from his professional tryout.

A native of Moscow, Russia, Sadikov appeared in 36 games for the OHL's Erie Otters this season, posting a 6-23-5 record, a 4.26 goals against average and a 0.894 save percentage. In 119 games over his three-year OHL career, the 6-4, 225-pound netminder posted a 51-50-10 record, a 3.53 GAA, a 0.901 save percentage and two shutouts.

Sadikov is expected to join the Griffins as they play a back-to-back weekend set against the Western Conference-leading Oklahoma City Barons tonight at 8 p.m. EDT and Sunday at 5 p.m. EDT.
