Sacramento's Six-Game Winning Streak Comes to End

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Four Tacoma players slugged home runs as the Rainiers beat Sacramento 12-3 on Tuesday night at Raley Field to end the River Cats' six-game winning streak.

Right fielder Greg Halman slugged a three-run home run in the first inning off Sacramento starter John Halama, who allowed seven runs (three earned) over 6.0 innings.

Tacoma got off to a fast start with four unearned runs in the first inning, all coming after Halama committed a fielding error with nobody on and two outs.

Former River Cat Tommy Everidge connected for his sixth home run of the season in the seventh inning, putting the Rainiers ahead 8-2.

Matt Carson hit two solo home runs for Sacramento, and lead-off man Corey Wimberly extended his consecutive on-base streak to 29 with a single in the first inning.
