Ryan Kinasewich Loaned To Lake Erie
February 5, 2009 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Colley announced today that forward Ryan Kinasewich has been loaned to the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters.
Kinasewich, who earlier today was named the ECHL's player of the month, heads to the AHL for the first time this year. Last year, he spent 24 games with the Grizzlies and Islanders AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.
The 25-year-old becomes the third Grizzlies forward to be loaned to an AHL team in the last 36 hours. "Our forwards have been putting up unbelievable numbers and one of our jobs here in the ECHL is to prepare our players for the next level," said Colley. "While it is unusual to lose them at this pace, we still have a very solid group here in Utah." Utah has not lost in regulation since January 7.
The Grizzlies return to action Friday and Saturday when they will host Phoenix at the E-Center. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
