Rapid City Rush News Release

(Rapid City, SD) - Rapid City Rush announced earlier today plans for the Rushettes to host a Junior Rushettes Dance Camp Saturday, February 21, 2009. The camp will be available for children ages 6 through 14 and will be held at the Saint Thomas More High School gym from 10 am to 3 pm.

Participants of the Junior Rushettes Dance Camp will learn a dance routine throughout the course of the day and will be invited to perform this routine at the Rush home game on Friday, February 27th. Camp participants will be separated into two age groups: 6 - 8 year olds and 12 - 14 years old. Each group will be coached by a member of the Rushettes Dance Team.

"This dance camp is a great way to get the Rushettes involved in the community and it provides younger girls the opportunity to meet each of the Rushettes and build on their dance and performance skills," said Marketing/Public Relations Director Darcy Zandstra. "This camp is about building confidence in young girls and teaching them skills they can use later in life."

The camp registration fee is $55 per participant. This fee includes admission to the Rush game on February 27th, lunch and a performance top. Applications must received by the Rush office no later than February 13, 2009. Space is limited. Registration forms are available online at www.RapidCityRush.com or call Darcy Zandstra at 605.484.1024 with additional questions or concerns.
