Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have teamed up with Fantastic Sams to raise awareness for Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Veteran defenseman and team captain Chris Bartolone will be at Fantastic Sams in Prescott Valley on Monday, Feb. 2 from 4:00-6:00pm to encourage customers to donate their hair to Locks of Love.

Anyone who donates hair on Feb. 2 will receive a ticket to the Sundogs' game against the Amarillo Gorillas on Wednesday, Feb. 4 and will be entered in a drawing for $500 cash or a team-signed replica jersey. Winners will be announced during Wednesday's game.

Supporters can also make financial contributions by visiting www.locksoflove.org.

Locks of Love meets a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The hair prostheses help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

Fantastic Sams is located at 7024 E. Florentine Road in the Fry's Shopping Center. Fore more information, visit Fantastic Sams or contact the Arizona Sundogs at (928) 772-5555.
