Rush Season Starts Tonight

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush officially kick-off their 2009-10 campaign this evening when they take on the expansion Missouri Mavericks. Tickets for tonight's contest and festivities are still available, starting at only $15. This evening's game will take place at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center with the drop of the puck scheduled for 7:05pm. The first 5,000 fans will receive a 2009-10 Rush magnetic schedule courtesy of Chad Zandstra Construction, LLC.

Tonight the Rush will debut their new black uniforms along with a new intro video and pyrotechnics. Also, Cameron "The Superfan" Hughes will be in attendance.

This will also be the first chance for Rush fans to see the new squad that was announced last night with key additions such as Colt King, Scott Wray, Brendan Cook and Brendon Hodge. The Rush also welcome back fan favorites Luke Fritshaw, Rich Hansen, Gio Flamminio, Miguel Beaudry, Jon Pelle, Jamie VanderVeeken and Blaine Jarvis. This will be the first game for Fritshaw as Team Captain, along with Hansen and King as Assistant Captains.

Tonight's contest is a historic one as it marks the first ever game in Missouri Mavericks history. The two teams will faceoff once again tomorrow at 7:05pm. Tickets are still available for that game.
