LAST GAME RECAP: The Rumble Ponies cruised to a 10-1 win Friday at NYSEG Stadium, capping their regular season series with Akron. Mickey Jannis tossed six scoreless innings in the rubber game win, Binghamton's third in a row. The Rumble Ponies offense supported the knuckleballer with a five-run fifth inning giving them two of three in the series

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Franklyn Kilome makes his fourth start with the Rumble Ponies and second straight against his former club, Reading. Kilmome is winless in his three Binghamton outings, posting an 0-1 mark with a 2.95 ERA. He struck out 10 in a no decision at Reading on August 10.

DOUBLE DIGITS: The Rumble Ponies rattled off at least 10 runs in a game for the 10th time this season on Thursday. It's the first time scoring more than nine since Binghamton's season-high 16-run outburst on July 16 against Portland.

MICKEY MATCHES RECORD: Mickey Jannis tied Mark Cohoon for the most starts in Binghamton history by making his 66th last night at NYSEG Stadium. His 20th win with Binghamton is tied for seventh all time.

PARTY OF FIVE: Five Rumble Ponies collected multi-hit efforts in Thursday's 10-1 win. Patrick Biondi, Andres Gimenez, Joey Terdoslavich, Will Toffey, and, Jhoan Urena each had two hits.

PERFECT AT THE DISH: Jhoan Urena reached base in all five plate appearances on Thursday. He finished 2-fo-2 with a home run, 3 RBI, & 3 BB. His long ball was his eight h of the season and first since July 20 against Trenton.

CLOSE CALLS: The Ponies nine-run win marks their first game decided by five or fewer runs since a 10-2 loss at Altoona on July 28. Binghamton had played in 16 straight games decided five or fewer runs - eight of the 16 contests were decided by just one run.

PONY PEN: The Binghamton bullpen allowed one run in the three-game series against Akron. In 5.1 innings pitched, the relievers combined to allow three hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

ARMS DEALING: Rumble Ponies starters have pitched at least five innings in 11 consecutive starts..

FIGHTIN THE PHILS: In their only series of the season, the Rumble Ponies were swept in three games by the Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium on August 10-12. Reading outscored Binghamton 17-10 in the set..
