
Rumble, Grant Heading to Binghamton

Wichita, KS (Nov. 1st) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that defenseman Chris Rumble was recalled by the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. In a separate transaction, forward Triston Grant has been loaned to Binghamton.
Rumble was recently sent to the Thunder from Binghamton. He has points in all three games, including the game-winner against Atlanta last Thursday. The Buffalo, New York native leads the team in plus/minus (+7) and was named as a runner-up for the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for October.
Grant has played in two games this season. He was signed by the Thunder after attending training camp on a tryout agreement. The Neepawa, Manitoba native is a former ninth round draft pick (#286) of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 640 AHL games, Grant has amassed 153 points (73g, 80a) and 1,707 penalty minutes.
Wichita returns to action on Friday and Saturday when the Utah Grizzlies come to town for the first time ever. Friday night is WSU Night and Saturday is Thunderdog Gnome Bank Giveaway Night, presented by BNC National Bank. The first 1,000 kids 12 and under will get this great giveaway.
