Adam Plutko started for the RubberDucks and allowed three runs to score in his five innings of work. Plutko lowered his season ERA to 2.45. The bullpen was tremendous once again not allowing any runs in their first nine innings of relief. Joe Colon, Josh Martin, Trey Haley, and Zack Nuding each contributed two scoreless innings on the night.
Duck Tales
Ronny Rodriguez had four hits on the night including the game winning hit in the bottom of the 14th inning. Shortstop Erik Gonzalez had three hits on the night and also stole his eighth base of the season. Jeremy Lucas also had three hits on the night. Bryson Myles also had two hits on the night for Akron.
Notes
The Ducks won their 6th straight game. They pounded out 18 hits on the night all of which were singles. The RubberDucks went to extra innings for the 15th time this season which leads the Eastern League by a landslide. Five of the extra-inning games have come against Altoona this year. Akron is now 7-8 in extra-inning games. The Ducks are now 2 games over .500 (32-30) which is their best mark of the season...Time of game was: 4:32...Attendance: 4,285.

The RubberDucks and Curve will play game two of their three-game series on Wednesday night at 7:05. LHP Zack Dodson (3-2, 2.57) will pitch for Altoona, while RHP Will Roberts (5-2, 3.70) is the slated to go for the RubberDucks.
