Former Team: Kody McDonald faced his former team tonight for the first time at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. McDonald spent parts of five seasons (2013-2018) with the Cougars where he played 232 games.

Birthday Boy: Tarun Fizer celebrated his 18th birthday today. The native of Chestermere, AB has tallied 34 points (13g-41a) in 61 games this season.

Three in the First: The Royals recorded a trio of goals in the opening frame tonight against Prince George. The club has scored three goals in the first period three previous times this season; on November 9th, December 11th, and February 1st. All four occasions ended with a Royals win.

Streaking: Currently, Royals' forward Kody McDonald and defenceman Scott Walford are riding three-game point scoring streaks. Over this span, McDonald has recorded five points (3g-2a), while Walford has collected three assists.
