Edmonton, AB - The Victoria Royals tallied three markers in each of the first two periods to defeat the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-1 in Monday morning's Hockey Hooky Day contest with 12,220 Edmonton area school kids in attendance.

For the third consecutive contest the Royals tallied six goals, and have outscored their opposition 18-5 during that span. Victoria defeated the Calgary Hitmen and Red Deer Rebels 6-2 on Friday and Saturday night respectively. The Royals' Jack Walker led the way for the visitors as he tallied two goals that also included the game-winner. Victoria's Joe Hicketts, Jared Dmytriw, Tyler Soy and Vladimir Bobylev rounded out the scoring for the Royals. Edmonton's lone goal was scored by Dysin Mayo.

Victoria's Alex Forsberg registered an assist on the first goal of the game to set the Royals' record for most helpers in a season with 53. The previous marker was set last season by Hicketts. Royals' netminder Coleman Vollrath stopped 24 of 25 shots he faced. Oil Kings' goaltender Patrick Dea turned away 25 of 31 shots directed at him. On the powerplay Victoria went 2/540.0%, while Edmonton was 0/20.0% with the extra attacker. The Royals will wrap-up their four-game road-trip this Friday in Vancouver for a coastal clash against the Giants at 7:30 p.m.
