
Royals' Brandon Magee Named Denny's WHL Player of the Week

Victoria, BC- The Western Hockey League today announced that Victoria Royals' forward Brandon Magee has been named Denny's WHL Player of the week.
Magee, a native of Edmonton, AB recorded six points (5g-1a) including a hat-trick and both game-winning goals in the Royals' first two playoff games vs. the Prince George Cougars this past weekend.
The 1994-born veteran becomes the fourth player (Travis Brown - 2014-15, Joe Hicketts - 2014-15 and Alex Gogolev - 2012-2013) in Victoria Royals team history to receive the Denny's WHL Player of the Week award.
The 5-9, 185 lb Magee leads the league in playoff scoring and is tied with former Royal Steven Hodges for most playoff points in Victoria/Chilliwack franchise history with 20 (9g-11a). In his last nine games played including the regular season, Magee has registered 10 goals and six assists for 16 points.
Magee, in his final season with the club is the all-time franchise leader in regular season games played (318), points (264) and assists (151).
The best-of-seven series will now shift to Prince George for Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday and Thursday with puck drop slated for 7:00 p.m. on both nights.
The Royals will return home for Game 5 (if necessary) on Saturday with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. Individual playoff tickets, starting at $13.00, are now on sale at the Select Your Tickets Box Office located at the arena, over the phone at 250-220-7777 or online at ww.selectyourtickets.com .
